Wrongful Dismissal Under 2 years

What type of companies are you applying to?
A year missing from a CV would kill in these times - do not remove. You just have to find an employer who doesn't care for taking references (of course the downside might end up being they in turn won't contribute to reference writing themselves)
Get yourself to somewhere 'desperately' recruiting/short staffed, even a couple of months with somewhere else under your belt and this ex employer will because so less painful.0 -
If asked I would keep it neutral and say my role there came to an end.
The experience could, however, be useful in answering generic interview type questions such as:
"could you give me an example of how you managed/ dealt with conflict in a work environment" - and without going into the nitty gritty of this experience say what you have learned from this and how you would approach a similar situation differently next time.Originally Posted by shortcrust

I think you need to get away from the mindset of 'wrongful dismissal' as any hint of this will make a potential employer back away very quickly.
As said above, I would go down the route of saying your role came to an end and concentrate on the positive things you could bring to a new employer.
Try to get any sort of work e.g. volunteering, to help fill the gaps in your CV and you could even be a bit vague with start and finish dates - maybe just keep the dates to years e.g. Worked for Company XYZ, 2016 - 2017.0
