Bankruptcy on credit file

Hi ya
Please can someone tell me how long bankrupcy stays on a credit report for and wheather it is from bankrupt date or discharge. Many thanks

Many thanks for that. Do you know if it removes automatic at midnight or weather cones off after the next update i,e 31 days .

Hi Mug098,


Credit files can be updated several times per month so I would expect it to come off through the next update. It wouldn't normally come off at midnight, unless you were very lucky with credit files updating.

Much appreciated. I searched it online but every where i looked it was saying that it stayed on file for 7 years, i thought it was six hense the question.
