Financial Status Questionnaire

Hey guys,
I have been offered a new job and currently filling in the personal details form which is asking me for my address, previous places of work, references, bankruptcy and so on. One of the questions is under the header Financial Status Questionnaire and is asking for my household income and expenditure, including value of assets (house, car, cash etc.). At the top it mentions that "much of this information is required by FCA".
Never had to do this before. Is this normal or should I question it?

I'd did a temp job for a well known financial institution who had a few issues with pensions a few years back.... I had to declare my financial status and I had to do the same when I applied to the police. The latter even asked about my partner and parents and anyone else living in the same house.0
