Please try to keep to one thread, this is getting very frustrating, sorry but I am out now.0

Sorry if it has upset you. I found that if I asked a new question on and old thread it didn't get answered very often. I'm trying to work things out as best I can in an incredibly stressful situation. Not very understanding if you've been through it yourself, or was it not stressful for you?0

Yes running two threads is a bit confusing.
But, you said in your other thread that one of the reasons for the high energy cost that you were claiming for relates to a debt that is post bankruptcy.
The OR will not allow for that - only the ongoing amount that they think is appropriate.
All examiners have access to what the government deem is an appropriate level of expense. You will have to show why you are using more than the average person.
That particular list includes many items that most people forget to claim for. It is not for the examiners to suggest what you could claim for it is for you to claim what you pay out and the examiner will either approve it or not. The examiner is not there to help you reduce the IPA or indeed a IPO. His duty lies entirely with getting as much for the creditors.0 -
This gas and electric bill. can you clear up whether the arrears are:
a) post bankruptcy
b) caused by not being billed for some time between your date of bankruptcy and now
c) because you are on a particularly high tarrif
d) because the supplier requires you to build up some credit on your pre-payment meter (either (i) just because it does (ii) to pay back the current negative balance caused by (b) (iii) high standing charge (iv) payment for conversion to a pre-payment meter)
e) because there is some error on your bills that you have not managed to get the supplier to sort outI'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Rockingbilly, thank you for your replies. I've commented on the other thread to keep it all in one place. This gas and electric bill. can you clear up whether the arrears are:

Thank you for your reply. It's a combination of all these things. They put a bond of £1100 onto our bill because of the bankruptcy and still g=had the gas on there despite fitting a prepayment meter for that. We had to pay off debt on there that they put on upon installing it, and it is an extremely high tariff (costing an extra £15 per week for the same usage). It has been ongoing since September and they still haven't sorted their error. We also now know that the OR will not allow us to pay anything to the arrears.0
