Wage slips keep or scan

As above, this seemed the closest forum related to my question.

With regard to pay slips i am i think in a minority where i am paid weekly so i have quite a few payslips saved up, can anyone see any problems if i were to scan these then bin/shred the originals. If in the future someone asked for a payslip would a digital copy be ok to provide?

thanks

Shouldn't be a problem to scan and shred, lots of people do, although I have all my payslips (even the weekly ones) going back at least 10 years. What I would keep a physical copy of P60s and any P45s you may have had.

I don't see why scanned copies should be a problem. Many people have to print their own anyway these days as many employers either e-mail or hold them on system.
  • ok cheers for the replies, i did as mentioned intend to keep p60's
