I don't rate Shimano chains, personally. Buy cheap, buy twice as they say.

The chains are ok, but I greatly dislike their quicklink. That's the main reason I avoid them.

Never had any problems with Shimano chains. Durability is good, I've never broken one. Shifting, when matched with an HG drivetrain is smooth and precise. Longevity is good too, I usually get around 3,000 miles/ chain in mixed riding conditions with regular cleaning and lubrication.

This is not a chain for roadies or true mountain bikers, but makes a good value replacement for your average commuter/ leisure cyclist. Which is why I posted the deal here.
