Our One Pound Meals book giveaway is now closed.
Keep an eye on your inboxes on Tuesday 18 April to see if we've contacted you. If we have please follow the instructions in the private message (you will be asked to email us). The FIRST 50 people to email will win a signed copy of the book.
----
What's this about?
Instagram chef Miguel Barclay has offered us 50 signed copies of his book "One Pound Meals" to give away! The RRP for One Pound Meals is £14.99 but it's available for £4.99 on Amazon.
MSE Lucia met up with Miguel Barclay to watch him make a recipe:
What to do
If you're interested, just reply to this (click on 'post reply') and say:
To do this you need to join the Forum (if you haven't already, when you click reply you'll be taken through the process. It's free, of course).
APPEAL: Please ONLY reply to this thread if you will check your private messages on Tuesday 18 April.
Bear in mind 75 names are being picked and there are only 50 books (because sadly not everyone gets in touch, so doing it this way helps to speed up the administration process), so you'll have to get in quick.
Also, please DON'T email in, as your name won't be counted. Nor include your contact details in this thread as, for your own safety, we don't allow personal details on the public forum so your post may be deleted.
This giveaway appears in the weekly email (if you don't already get the email go to www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips) and will close at 10am on Tuesday 11 April, so please get your posts in before then.
The giveaway has a strict one entry per household policy and entries can be deemed ineligible without any explanation or notification.
The book's blurb:
"So much more than cheap dinner ideas - here are recipes for meals that cost under a pound but look and taste a million dollars! So why not feed yourself for £1 or your family for less than a fiver?
Instagram chef sensation Miguel Barclay is taking the world by storm with his delicious meals that cost less than £1 per person.
'I've always loved cooking but I'm not a fan of needlessly over-complicated recipes that waste time and money.
So I've created my own style of cooking: simple ingredients, straightforward recipes and mouthwatering meals, all on a budget.
Now you can eat the food you love - from meatball marinara to chicken katsu curry, lamb moussaka to aubergine dal - all for under £1 per person.'
Miguel's easy-to-follow, ready-in-minutes recipes are for a single serving, and can all be cooked for under £1 per person - just multiply them up for more servings.
How will the people be chosen?
75 people will be picked at random (we've a special little computer programme to do it) and a private message will be sent to each of their winning usernames requesting their USERNAME, FULL NAME and ADDRESS details (there'll be an email address to send this information to, we don't want it done via private messages).
The FIRST 50 people to get back to us will win a signed copy of the book.
When will I get the book?
The publisher providing these books will send them out directly though, to aid administration, this won't happen until all 50 winners have provided their name and address. So it may take several weeks between the giveaway's end and actual receipt. We'll update this thread to let winners know when they've been sent out.

1. This prize draw is open to residents of the UK aged 18 years or over, except employees of the MoneySuperMarket.com Group PLC (including MoneySavingExpert.com), or family members of such employees. In order to take part in the prize draw, entrants must have a MoneySavingExpert.com Forum account, which is enabled for posting (those who wish to enter but who do not presently have a MoneySavingExpert.com Forum account can register for one, free of charge, at forums.moneysavingexpert.com/register.php).
2. Details of how to enter form part of the terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the entrant agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to modify the Promotion at any time without prior notice.
3. The prize draw will be run on a designated MoneySavingExpert.com Forum thread (at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/72266466#Comment_72266466) (the “Designated Thread”). In order to enter, users will need to be registered to the Forum and post on the Designated Thread as per the instructions detailed in the Thread.
4. The prize draw will open at 5.30pm (UK time) on Tuesday 4 April, and will end at 10am (UK time) on Tuesday 11 April (“Closing”).
5. The prize is a copy of the book One Pound Meals (the “Prize”) provided by the author Miguel Barclay, RRP of £14.99 as of 11.30am on 30 March 2017.
6. All entrants will be placed into a randomiser, of which 75 will be selected and contacted by the Promoter on Tuesday 18 April via the MoneySavingExpert.com Forum’s Private Message facility.
7. Potential winners will be required to respond to the designated email address within seven days of being contacted. The first 50 recipients of the Private Message to contact the email address with their name, Forum username and postal address will be the winners and receive the Prize. If incomplete information is provided within the seven days after being contacted, the Promoter reserves the right to award that Prize to an alternative winner in accordance with these terms and conditions (i.e. to the 6th person to email their details to the designated email address.).
8. A maximum of one Prize is available per household. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold a Prize or Prizes if, in its fair judgement, it appears that the same person or same household has ‘won’ more than one Prize, and/or to require reasonable proof from the winner(s) in question that they are not the same person and/or do not share a household.
9. Late, incomplete, corrupt entries, or entries sent through agencies and third parties, will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries. The Promoter in particular cannot accept any responsibility for delayed entries due to device or internet connectivity issues.
