Selling Main Home & Rental Property >> Timing

Options
Hi, just looking for some advice,

I have decided to sell my rental property and also my main home as I'm looking to move area and both have increased in value considerably.

The rental property is currently on the market and am expecting a formal offer through in the morning. Once it's finalised I plan on putting my main home up for sale.

I purchased the rental property about 10 years ago and my main home about 2 years ago. When purchasing home I was quite restricted with what I could borrow due to the rental property.

My question is whether I should wait until the rental property has sold before arranging a new mortgage as I was looking to borrow more than last time or will it be enough to wait until the missives have been concluded (selling in Scotland).

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks
