Help!!! Dept agency BW Legals

Hi,
I received a call today from the number (0113 323 1784) which belonged to BM Legal.
The individual asked to talk to me regarding an urgent legal matter. I gave him my name and asked who they were, he said ''BM legal'' but wouldn't give me any more details about the matter unless I answered his questions such as my personal details, to which I told him I'm not gonna give my personal details to anyone who asks for it. He said they've sent me a letter, to which I told him I haven't received any, He said he'll send another one and just cut off.
As a student, I've changed my address multiple times in the last 4 years and any address they may have is my old ones.
Does anyone know why they might be chasing me or what I should do next?.
This has got me really worried as just 3 weeks ago I received a fine from a different dept collectors agency telling me I owned them £202 because of a fine back in 2015, which I never received.
Between May 2015 and until Sep 2015, my vehicle was registered to my old address, so I would not of received any fines during this period and I've I also lived in 15 bedroom accommodations, so letters did go missing occasionally.
Please can someone help.

Check your credit files.0

As to why they are chasing you, it's liable to be a debt-related matter. Although the Data Protection Act protects you, it can also be used to get information from you as they will state they can't discuss the matter with you until they confirm your identity.
Do you know of any outstanding debts you might have?0 -
Hi
I agree it’s a good idea to check your credit reference files for anything unusual. For £4 per search you can also check the Trust Online website for details of any court fines made against you.
