27.9.07 what small dfw thing will you do or have you done today?

Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:

Welcome to Thursday!!!!!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

So, today I will:
  • do piggy comps, clicks and surveys
  • go to the bank
  • get something listed on ebay
  • send everyone off with packed lunches
  • make a storecupboard dinner - chili and rice I think
  • update my online spending diary
  • check online banking and update spreadsheet
  • be positive!
Have a good day everyone xx

Morning hypno, morning all! Inspired by how busy hypno is... so today I will:
    - do my finance practice - this is bad, I should be doing small trades now, according to the timetable I set up with the cognitive behavioural guy I'm seeing, but I'm not doing them. finished. So the 2nd thing is:
    - do my meditation tape, to help me calm down and focus.
    - post my update to the Olympic Challenge, amazon and mystery shopping money, hurray.done.
    - do some surveys from my inbox.Huh! ciao wants my login name, I've copied it, I've requested it via email, and it still doesn't recognise it. Naughty ciao! I've left the box open in case anyone has any bright ideas. Anyone?
    - do some vacuuuming - thats moneysaving cos I have clients in, the place has to look a little bit decent - it looked dreadful in the sunshine yesterday, builders' dust everywhere.
    - clicks and piggy clicks.
    - grooaaaan... do I have to put this down? I guess I do. I have to faff around calling Building Control about the porch........ Noooooo!!!!! Well, yes, actually.

    Hello.
Today I go to the local National Trust place for my day of volunteer gardening. Love it. One of the staff is leaving and they are having a take out lunch. I will have a sandwich (don't fancy fish and chips mid morning) and join the frey...
Have just transferred the last pile of hard earned dosh from Australia to make another lump sum payment on the mortgage...YES!!
Dinner is sorted, my parents are heading back this way tonight from gay Paree, so there will be a crowd to feed.
My OH is around this morning, big treat, we can talk and catch up.
    Have a good day.

    Hi Hypno et al.
Karma, Ciao misbehaves sometimes, it seems to work better if you copy & paste, have you tried that? Have you up-dated your password at all recently (I'd forgotten one time :o , can't imagine you're as dozy as me.)

    Anyway today:
-sold a couple of 78's that I was going to include in a bundle on e-bay, got £15:j
-joined BetFair via Quidco, took a tip from I_A and bet on Arsenal to win, spent £10, get £25 cashback and if Arsenal win get £18.70. If they lose  I only make £15.
-bids on 5 of OH's toys, watchers galore on the rest of them.
    -mystery shop tonight.

Need to maximise income this month, OH changes jobs and there'll be a hiatus between paypackets. Goal to get £2,000 ;) before end of October. But if Hypno can get £7K, who am I to shirk with a goal 30% of hers :D
