I particularly love the bit that says starter homes should be available to those earning under £80,000 a year, or £90,000 in London. How much under do you suppose they are thinking?
I say Tess, I hear that certain types in the country don't earn above 80 grand. You must be joking Phil!? No I'm afraid not.
Seems that a should won't be turning into a must anytime soon. Although I can't say I was particularly bothered about this particular policy, it would have put some more supply into the market.

All talk as usual from the Tories. They've no interest in solving the housing crisis while their elderly voting core has so much wealth tied up in high house prices. The old couldn't possibly stomach a moderate drop in their paper wealth no matter how hard it makes things for their kids.0

With my cynical hat on I am wondering whether the government realise it's quite possible that prices could drop by 20% anyway so why stoke the fire.0

the government has released that housing in 80% + of the country is already cheap0
