    1. Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

      The Trust magazine Win a break to Edinburgh – The UNESCO City of Literature prize draw is open to UK resident Festival attendees and Festival newsletter subscribers who are aged 18 and over, with the exception of Baillie Gifford group employees and their families, or anyone else connected in any way with the prize draw. Only one entry per person is permitted. Accommodation is in an Executive Room at the Balmoral Hotel. First-class return rail travel to Edinburgh Waverley from a UK over-ground station is included. Dates are subject to availability and can be taken between 1 November 2017 and 31 October 2018. Breakfast each morning and dinner on one evening in Number One restaurant is included, along with two-day Royal Edinburgh bus tour tickets. Additional meals, drinks and other incidentals are not included in the prize.
    2. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Baillie Gifford reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal value. The prize is not transferable and Baillie Gifford takes no responsibility for the prize once it has been awarded. This includes any damage, misplacement or theft of the prize. No cash alternative. No responsibility will be taken for lost, delayed or incomplete entries. Entry is by completing and returning the entry coupon available at the festival or by registering online at www.bailliegifford.com/literaryprize only. The closing date is Friday 27 October 2017 and the winner will be drawn at random by 31 October 2017 by a member of Baillie Gifford staff, and the winner will be notified by email or post within 5 calendar days of the draw date. If no response is received within 14 calendar days of the date of posting/emailing the notification, a replacement winner will be randomly selected and notified on the same basis. No correspondence will be entered into and Baillie Gifford’s decision is final. The name of the winner will be available on request until 31 March 2018 by writing to Baillie Gifford at Calton Square, 1 Greenside Row, Edinburgh, EH1 3AN. By entering into the prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
