Ebae update: 3 items sold and paid for. 1 item sold awaiting payment.
I had a message off a buyer who wanted to buy several items at a BUY IT NOW price which I offered it to him at a higher price in a bundle. Probably made about £16 profit from it so quite happy.
Spending this week has been high however this is because I found lots of reduced meat in M&S. 90% of the retail price so I bought lots and frozen it. Should last us a couple of weeks
Also bought a pair of Clarke's shoes for DD £12 instead of £40 at the outlet store. It's the next size up from what she's wearing now so that should be perfect for the next school year I tend to buy black patent school shoes from Clarke's whenever I see them for £15 or less as I do not want to pay £40 for a pair of shoes!
Hope everyone has a good weekend... hopefully today will be a no spend day... xxxBalance at start of mortgage Dec 2011 £87500

Another 2 items sold and the 1 awaiting payment has also been received too not large amounts of money but it all adds up currently have 26 items listed. I really need to find a few hours to go through my wardrobe again to see if there's any more stuff worth selling (actually any more stuff i am willing to say goodbye too as I'm a hoarder lol)
A NO spend day today which is good as I've been too busy to even have s chance to spend any money. Got given £20 towards petrol money for helping out a friend. I might just absorb the cost of the trip and bank the £20 as an overpayment. Might give myself a few days to think about that first before I actually decide ...
Went to the bank today and I can get Another 5% monthly saver soon so just waiting for the date I can apply to feed more stoozed money through. I think if I feed the maximum into the account I earn £80 approx interest which is good.Balance at start of mortgage Dec 2011 £87500

I've lost focus a bit this month as have some other issues where I've been focusing on and feeling really about...
Listed some more things on Ebae too so hopefully that will keep going. 27 items active. 1 has a bid on. Have a nice collection of things to take to a car boot sale once I figure out where the best one by me is.
I've been upcycling a few of my old clothes too and turned them Into dresses for DD. I'm not great at sewing but it took my mind off things and DD was really happy with it...

Hi DSM, I hope whatever is weighing on your mind works out ok. Even if your focus isn't laser sharp at the moment (it can't always be, not for anyone), you are still doing great and heading in the right direction. Well done on the sewing!0

Thanks both... yea just having a stressful month that's all. Its just so hard to focus on anything atm.
Had a knock on my door the other day saying my car had rolled out into the middle of the street because I hadn't put the handbreak on... luckily it did nt do any damage to anyone or anything...
No plans for the weekend so hopefully the weather will stay nice so me and DD can go to the park or for a nice walk.

Hello everyone
So I've been on my spreadsheets again tonight (exciting life I have lol) did a few scenarios of overpayments and when my mortgage will end
Scenario 1
Pay 10% every January to max out overpayment
Mortgage cleared January 2024
Scenario 2
Pay £500 a month up until the 10% limit then save the remaining £500 per month to pay the following January plus £500 a month until 10% limit maxed. Remortgage in Jan 2019 hopefully with a mortgage with no OP limits
Mortgage cleared Feb 2022
Scenario 2a
Same as scenario 2 but paying £600 a month not £500
Mortgage cleared November 2021
Scenario 2b
Same as scenario 2 but paying £700 a Month not £500
Mortgage cleared August 2021
Scenario 3
Same as scenario 2 but interest rate rises to 2.5% in Jan 2019
Mortgage cleared March 2022
Scenario 3a
Same as scenario 2 but interest rate rises to 3.5% in Jan 2019
Mortgage cleared April 2022
Very interesting to see the numbers go up and down and nice to know that even if the interest rate rises again when I remortgage in January 2019 that I hopefully should still be mortgage free by April 2022.
ATM I feel restricted because I've maxed out my 10% limit so I will probably look for a mortgage where I don't have a limit where I can overpay or an offset mortgage and reduce the term of the mortgage quicker!!
I know a lot can happen/change in 5 years but would be interesting to look back at these calculations and see what date I become mortgage free...Balance at start of mortgage Dec 2011 £87500

A question on the ebay listings... I have 11 items listed at the moment. How ofter do you check your listings on a daily basis? I can't help peeking (some items have watchers, but no bids so far) but the days are dragging in!!!!!!MBNA (Was £2000), Now £2, 900 (Expected date Dec/2020)
CAR (Was £300) Now £2, 000 (Interest free loan from family member)

I check mine whenever i have a spare 5 mins. Its so easy on the phone to check.
I end all my listings at 9pm. I ususally do my packaging in the morning if they have paid for the items . Then i can post them on my break in work. Doesnt feel like any extra work or hassle to me then.
Ive had to relist some things a few times before its sold.
Off to post my 5 items now. Mays total is 8 items sold and paid for now.
