I realise that this is an old post, but I hope someone out there can still help. It's 6 years since my bankruptcy, so I understand that this should not cause me a problem with credit in the future. Am I correct? I'm certainly not looking to get back into debt, but what if I ever wanted a new bank account or to apply for a mortgage or mobile phone contract etc?

What's the best way to find out if your bankruptcy has been removed from credit report? And do you have to declare bankruptcy ever again eg. how do you answer the question on a form "have you ever been bankrupt?"? Can I now live as though I have never had financial issues?

Thank you to anyone who picks this question up.
