I used to love going into Wilko's and they sell absolutely everything at bargain prices :j
PS I'm hoping said friend will be able to get me out and perhaps do a little shopping, all assuming I can make it past the front door "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

I still have a wooden clothes horse but recently got a concertina thing from Argos and it's very good.0 -
On the subject of drying clothes indoors. I have a trendy radiator in my bathroom that looks like a ladder screwed to the wall. It sells as a towel drying radiator. However, I can dry a whole load of washing on it over-night when the central heating is on. Socks and undies hung on the lower rails, t-shirts further up, trousers and jumpers on the higher rails. I hang shirts on hangers and hang them on and sometimes get away without ironig them. It's brilliant, and I would definately recommend one.
Since having this, I have not used my old airer at all.keep smiling,

I miss most the old fashioned pulley I had in the hall in a top floor flat. There was a radiator underneath it and so the warm air going up dried things overnight and in the summer I just left the bathroom door and window open and the air coming from there dried things in no time at all.
Being in the hall there was no kitchen smells and unless I had something like sheets on it you couldn't see it as it was painted the same colour as the ceiling.0 -
Gate type here and some of those radiator ones tooOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
I've got a gate style and a pull up one and use them both on rainy days.On sunny days I still use them just to peg the socks and undies on as they save vauable line space and are quicker to pull indoors if it does rain, plus I can shift them around the garden and make the most of the sun as it moves too0

The one I use (a lot because I've 3 boys and no tumble drier) is...hmmm, not sure how to describe it......folds out like a gate-leg table, so the top is flat with 18 (just counted 'em
) rails, and there are more rails underneath that, so it does hold loads. Actually, come to think of it, you don't see many like this around, and I could do with a replacement fairly soon, so if anyone knows what this style is called that would be really helpful.....
Is this the one that you mean?

Looks like you can now order on-line with Wilko's - but not sure if it's all over the country or just in selected areas.

This is the one I use and its great indoors and out. They are a bit pricey but I won mine in a comp.I use it in the conservatory and its great because its high enough off the ground so that the kids can still get in and out when its up
