No contract, no wages.

I recently left my job since i was no longer entitled to a basic wage and was put on commission. I stupidly told my boss that I could not solely survive on commission but was asked to leave the office immediately. I asked for my wages the following day but was given very vague answers.
I never had a contract, nor did i received any wage slips, as my wages were usually paid directly into my account. Unfortunately I don't have much evidence to prove that I was work there - only texts from my boss, colleagues, bank statement, etc. Is it worth taking them to small claims court?

How else were your wages paid?
Did you have your mobile phone turned on while at work? (I'm thinking about proof you were on the premises.)0 -
first month was cash in hand, the following two months my wages were transferred into my bank account. Unfortunately my phone wasn't turned on at work but i have text messages of my boss stalling payment and trying to convince me that they dont have to pay me so theres evidence that they intended to pay me.0

The simple solution is you go via small claims court.0

HMRC might be interested as well as you will be asking them about how much tax and NI you have paid.
Commission only can go below NMW.
You will need a P450 -
It costs from £35 to issue in the County Court (if you need to attach docs).
It's even cheaper (from £25) to use Money claim online, so yes, certainly worth it for owed wages.

Don't forget to claim interest on top of the capital sum. Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0 -
Plus payment for accrued but untaken holidays.0
