Student loan deferment query
Words of advice if possible please
My wife has two student loans dated 1997 and 1998 which she has defered for several years due to part time working and full time parenting.
Her income is below the repayment threshold and legilble for deferment.
Our question is that upon defering this time around the loans company have asked for proof of income including child tax credits. We don't have the letter with the current award (£4.26) weekly and they have asked for 3 months bank statements to prove the award. However all of our income including my salary goes into a joint account. Therefore the statement shows more income than the threshold levels. I understand that we can provide a letter of declaration that i support her but can they take my income into account?
