Help with tax issue

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help. I left one job on 2nd January and started a new one on 3rd January. I was entitled to pay for 2 days plus 1.5 days annual leave accrued. An amount of £183.60 was paid into my account on 31st January, I thought it was a little lower than I had anticipated but near enough. I was speaking to HRMC because they took an addition £183.60 in tax out of my February wages from my new employer. They told me that the old employer had categorised the £183.60 as a tax rebate and my wages were marked at £0.00 (the old employer that is). So I just out my last pay slip from the old employer and sure enough it said wages £0.00 tax paid £183.60-
So basically I have not received wages from the old employer for the 3.5 days I was entitled to. The irony that the old employer is an ombudsman has not by passed me.
So I just wanted to check that I am still owed wages for the 3.5 days from the old employer?
I have emailed the Chair, the CEO, head of finance, payroll accountant and head of HR detailing everything to them, attached a copy of the payslip and asking for a revised payslip and the wages that I am owed to be paid asap by BACS transfer.
I just wanted to check really that I am on the right track, I am owed this money? If they don't get back to my emails where do I go from there?
thanks for your time guys.
