This afternoon I cooked a chicken with today's date on. TBH I wasn't convinced of its freshness before it was cooked, and on tasting it afterwards I've decided not to use it. However, I'm now left with a pile of cooked carrots and swede. Can you give me some inspiration? Also have some broccoli that I put in boiling water but only for 30 secondsish before I decided not to have the chicken, so that needs using as well.
Don't need anything for tea, the kids ended up having mashed pots with corned beef, and I had HM quiche, so we've not gone hungry!!

You can always freeze it all, and use it another time!!!
I also love swede and carrot mashed together - we have butter and a little pepper, delicious!!! Never tried it with the grated cheese tho, but think i will next time!!!
You could also mix all the veg with some potato, fry it and have bubble and squeak!!!0 -
I would boil a few potatoes (finally cut), finish cooking the broccoli. Mix with the swede and carrots, put some grated cheese on top and stick in the oven to heat/ brown the cheese. Eat and enjoy.I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.0
