I have been onto MSE Credit Club and found a cash transfer deal 36 months 0% for 2.9% (or there abouts) fee so I applied and have been approved with £5,200 credit limit. As soon as I have that I will make the transfer and get the overdraft taken off. I'm so relieved!!!

I'm so impatient with this new credit card I just want to get it all sorted and get the overdraft paid off ASAP! I need to call them today as they've emailed me saying that they have arranged for the £2000 money transfer. I'm not sure whether I have put £2000 on the application (I wasn't sure I'd be approved for enough of a credit limit so it is possible I'd cut my losses at a lesser, more obtainable amount?) or if thats all I can have but I need £2350 to clear the overdraft. My limit is £5200 so I would've thought £2350 is fine...

On a plus, it's my birthday this week :D

I have just checked online, the £2,000 is in my account and I have called Virgin and can get a money transfer for the additional £350 that I need to clear my overdraft :j

So, things I need to do this week
    • Request £350 money transfer when I receive Virgin CC
    • Remove overdraft when above is received
    • Make lists for birthday camping trip away this weekend (food, camping gear, pack wetsuits etc.)
    • Pack for above lists
    • Get tent pole replaced (which snapped and may or may not have caused WW3 last year when me and OH tried to put the tent up :o)
    • Sort brothers birthday present for 28th Aug (what to buy for someone who has everything...)
    • Sort sister in laws birthday present for 29th Aug
    • Dye hair (b*stard greys, I'm only 25 :()
    • Arrange collection of old CD's/DVD's - Music Magpie

Low spend weekend, Sister in law took me and OH to lunch on Saturday to thank us for helping her with her house move and with our nephew (we never do this for any reason other than they are our family and we want to help, also her husband currently works other side of the world and she is almost 8 months pregnant so anything we can do to help!!). Then Mum thanked us for sorting her kitchen flood (slight exaggeration, but with neighbour problems downstairs the last thing she needed was it leaking down into their flat) by giving us a huge leg of lamb which spent most of yesterday in the slow cooker. A lot of love and appreciation over the weekend :heart2:

    Last ramble for the day..

Applied for an MBNA credit card to balance transfer both my Lloyds credit card (which was on 4.9% apr) and Barclaycard (£1500 on there which is currently on 0% but due to come to an end next month). Got approved and have given them my balance transfer details, 0.64% transfer fee and 0% for 30 months. Plus a £20 credit for balance transferring over £1000. If my maths serve me right, once the credit goes on I'll have paid less than £15 to balance transfer almost £5.5k so pretty pleased with that. This will make things so much easier than having to split payments across two cards (3 including the Virgin Card used for a money transfer to clear my overdraft).

I was reluctant to apply for another credit card but this should see me through now until my DFD!

No sign of Virgin Credit Card yet, I need that to do the money transfer so I can clear off my overdraft. Fingers crossed it'll be soon.

Joined opinion outpoll today, reached £2.50 to cash out via paypal but can't cash out until my account has been reviewed (72 hours) because I'm new :(

Can anyone recommend any other good survey sites?

Oh my goodness I can’t believe how much that was working out per day with the overdraft! When you read 1p for every 7p it sounds nothing, and the old me wouldn’t have batted an eyelid and worked out the numbers (that’s if I even bothered to read the letter, I used to just ignore and recycle credit card/bank statements!)

Did you try Prolific Academic? The only other one that I’ve tried is called Mintvine, is a bit slow to build up and can chuck you out, but at the start before I used PA I done it for about 3 weeks and got about £30, then gave up. Gave up with all surveys, need to start again xx
    Starting debt £18,675.63
    Current debt: £5,000 (16/05/18)

Neither could I Reality, It doesn't sound all that bad but it soon adds up. I nearly didn't think much of it either. Feel bad for those with big overdrafts and no options to pay it off :(

I have tried with a few different survey sites just can't seem to stay motivated with it. I did have one payout and was impressed with how quickly it added up! I just do find it a teeny bit boring.. :lipsrseal

How all is well with the littlun <3

    UPDATE 05/09/17
    CC 1 & 2 - £5240.00 - Balance transferred both onto 0% credit card
    Catalogue - PAID OFF
Overdraft - £2360.00 - Cash transferred onto 0% credit card
    Car Finance - £3214.02
    05/09/17 TOTAL £10,814.02

    (09/08/17 TOTAL £11,630.91)
    (03/07/17 TOTAL £12,311.84)
    (31/05/17 TOTAL £13,173.79)
    (07/03/17 TOTAL £ 14,879.52)

    Total paid to date £4065.50

Slowly but surely the numbers are coming down. This should have to be my last re-shuffle before getting it all paid off as I have lengthy 0% deals on both of the credit cards.

I've been quiet lately as had loads going on, my birthday which was spent camping and I had the best time thanks to the gorgeous bank holiday weather!!! Been to visit my sister the weekend just gone to spend some birthday money/vouchers. Always the way, absolutely NOTHING I liked. I ended up ordering bits online when I got back instead. When I do have money there is nothing I like but when I don't have money I love everything I see, which is in fact most probably why I have this credit card debt in the first place :rotfl:

Lastly, I have enrolled to go back to COLLEGE!!! Terrified/excited/anxious/determined, you name it I'm feeling it. It will be an evening thing whilst working. I wasn't in a position to dedicate enough time to it before now (working extra evening jobs) but I'm so excited for a bit of a challenge. Slightly worried it'll be more than I can handle but I should be fine as long as I put lots of home study hours in!

All good on the money front, got some birthday money left, had bought loads of clothes but some were such poor quality and/or sizing I had to return. Won't mention names but I guess you get what you pay for. So yesterday I used some of the money to buy a secondhand iPad mini , it was £100 and will help with my studies as a lot of my college work/revision/practice assessments are online. I had my first college evening on Tuesday, all good but a bit of an information overload....

Officially joined Slimming World again after trying (failing) to do it alone for the past few months. I had a free join voucher from a magazine so was just the weekly fee of £4.95.

Feeling motivated in all areas, £310 to pay off of credit cards with this weeks wages.

Low spend weekend as food shopping is sorted and I'm at my Dads looking after the dogs while he's off to Italy. He lives a 3 minute drive from work so will save on fuel over the next week. He also has a tumble dryer which I will use to catch up on all the washing, what an exciting life I lead  :rotfl:
