any help much appreciated!

  • Hi hjb

Don't know if this is the place you are referring to but there is a fairly new card-making supplies/craft shop opened up in the St John's Arcade. Can't think of any other craft-type shops, other than The Works in Preston city centre. Will be in the centre at the weekend so will have a look and if I can find a name or web address, I'll post it here.

It wouldn't have been Hobbycraft advertising in the centre to draw people to their shop would it?
  • I'll be going through the Centre of Preston later..I'll post if I see anything...........

thanks for the replies. It definately wasnt hobbycraft, I think it said something on it about being a cardmakers paradise. It was a pretty big banner too, wasnt something you could miss - but obiviously something you can have forgotten an hour and a half later!

  • I have a feeling it might have been for a place called CCA BUT I can't be sure...so I'll double check.

I didn't notice it even though I was parked outside the Market yesterday afternoon!!!!! DUH!!

no, Im pretty sure it wasnt for the CCA, thanks anyway! When I worked at WHS we used to use the CCA for wedding stationery orders so would of remember them. It was as thought it was a big discount warehouse of papercrafting/cardmaking stuff

have been searching and searching and am beginning to think its card craft plus, the website is https://www.cardcraftplus.co.uk but if someone else sees the banner today and confirms if it is that would be great!

  • Where abouts near the market is the banner?? Is it as you go past on the main road opposite the courts? Near the market car park, or is it actually near the outdoor market?

No, I can't believe the number of Prestonians on here either.
Although I am not originally from Preston - I came here to study at the University in 1997, went back home in 2000, then returned to live here when I got married in 2001. Although I must admit, Preston as a student is far more appealing than living here permanently! I get quite homesick these days!!!:rotfl:
