I'm looking to get some ground coffee to go with a new coffee making machine. Can anyone recommend a decent (good value) ground coffee from Aldi or Lidl (or anywhere else tbh) Its to go with this machine btw -

The ground coffee in Lidl is very good at £3.99 for 424g. I don't think ALDI have any.0

It all depends on your preference. My partner swears by the French blend, or the Java (green packet in lidl) which is the strongest. He seems to think they both come from the same supplier for both Aldi and Lidl so I just pick it up from whoever has it on offer in bulk!0

I really loved the Colombian one from aldi - been a while since I've bought it, so don't know if they still sell it!0

As said before, it's personal but for me the Lidl Bellarom Gold ground coffee at £3-79 for 500g is ideal.
Very, very similar to the German Jacobs branded coffee.0 -
Another vote for Lidl Bellarom Gold ground coffee. Also sold as "100% arabica."
I googled Jacob's coffee and they also produce Douwe Egberts. And for me the smooth taste of the coffee reminds me of Douuwe Egberts coffee I used to get at a staff canteen as bean to cup coffee in the early 1980s. Although that does not sound like a great recommendation it was really smooth, round tasting coffee!0 -
We like the Lyons coffee in Home Bargains. It's 79p, sorry not sure of the weight, it fills up my normal sized caddy but is probably a little smaller then standard.Sealed Pot Challenge #1666 - up for raising as much as poss0

Aldi have loads! Far more choice than Lidl...

Aldi - For just a everyday one their everyday Alcafe blend kinda stuff is 227g at £1.39. It is Level 4 strength and is delicious. Just a perfect taste for all in the house.
The French blend is a bit meh but Italian (strength 5) is ok - 227g for £1.59ish.
For something a bit different, the Java, Kenyan and Colombian are fantastic too. Both bit stronger but have a wee sweet edge but all slightly different tastes. (All either strength 5 or 6)
LIDL - do bigger 400G+ packs - I think of the French and Italian (plus smaller 227g). Similar to Aldi really taste wise I don't like the French one but Italian is okay. Their Java etc is similar but possibly slightly different tasting. They don't have an everyday-suits-all one.PK! :money:0
