Ex local authority

We have made an application to purchase an ex local authority property though aldermore. Having read though posts on here it seems aldermore do not like this kind of property.
Does anyone have any experience of purchasing an ex local authority though aldermore. Their criteria states that is fine as long as their is a meaningfull number of privately owned properties. This will be down to the valuer.
The house we are buying is on an estate with 49 properties of which 17 are owned.
Many thanks

Hi there.
Me and my partner are currently going through the same thing.
As long as it is of standard construction and can show more properties are privately owned. We are hoping to buy down a road with 12 ex council, which 2 are still council and the rest privately owned. The valuation has come back ok and we've never been questioned.
The valuation does state that it's ex council and that the majority are privately owned.
Hope this helps0 -
I don't specifically know about Aldermore, but in general you're much more likely to succeed with an ex-LA house than a flat.0
