thermos flask lid stuck

This may be a stupid question, but does anyone know any old style tricks of how to get a thermos lid off as mine is stuck solid. It's one of those food flasks. My usual technique of using rubber gloves just hasn't worked.

Try holding lid part under a running hot tap
With luck the heat will expand the lid before it expands the body and thus loosen the threaded area, that's the theory anywayWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0 -
