Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences of Accord Mortgages?
I'm currently in the process of applying for a mortgage with them and my experience so far to date hasn't been the best.
From reviews I've read of them - which haven't been glowing - and the objections and problems they keep throwing up I'm temped to throw in the towel!
I look forward to hearing your views of them,

We have had various dealings with them - they do have some great rates at various times, and also offer very good deals when your current rate expires. Their admin though is pretty dire - always asking for additional information after we thought everything had been agreed.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Well the saga with them continues and I can see why negative reviews have been written about them.
The valuation was a nightmare - gave the mortgage value not hte property value!?!?!
They also gave wrong information on our mortgage broker, which resulted in us not having a mortgage and then after listening to the phone calls that took place between all parties the mortgage offer was back on! I suppose that's good but it's annoying.
I have to say at this moment in time don't deal with them, it's taken them over a month to get near to a final decision. The legal stuff is all sorted and I'm getting fed up with constantly having to face hurdles/obsticles with them.Sealed pot challenge 2009 - target £750. Dec - April £275

The long running saga with Accord continues!
The first formal offer which they gave us had the wrong address on. They sent through a new mortgage offer which had the incorrect postcode on.
Myself and my solictior have been chasing them and are getting conflicting stories...it's frustrating contracts were meant to be exchanged on Monday 15th and today we're getting nowhere!

Hi
we too went with accord..great 10 year fixed rate and had no hassles at all! I thought they had quite good reviews?
Hope it all gets sorted for you soon!0 -
First time over here.
I've been with Accord on a fixed rate which is now coming to an end.
Rate was competitive and came through broker.
Must say they have been OK, no more no less, couple of times that I have called, Advisor(?) on phone has seemed young, inexperienced and dis-interested.
This has sometimes resulted in unclear advice requiring a follow up call.
Another thing to watch for is the end date of deals.
The first payment on my deal was made in a February, by chance I found that it will actually end 31st December 2007, i.e. not a round year.
This means I have to get moving on finding another deal.Move along, nothing to see.0
