Where to buy durable smart office wear shoes that are not £50?

Options
Hi,

After learning that Shoe Zone and Deichmann are not great places to buy durable shoes, I am looking for places that sell decent smart office wear type shoes that are below £40?

The shoes from the two shops mentioned above barely last 3 months and I don't do some crazy stuff with it to wear them out, it's just they are very low quality for £20.

So I am looking for decent recommendations :)

Something that goes with shirt and trousers in the office and have a decent grip sole and flexible.

I've bought some fairly decent work shoes in Clarks sales. They have proper discounts when you can buy for under £40

    Half sizes too.

I've not worn them myself but have heard others talk highly about the M&S footwear range being comfy and smart.

Hotter have an outlet section on their website and their sales are pretty good - I've previously purchased smart-ish loafers for work for about £35, and they last really well.

You'll struggle to find good quality men's shoes in that price range.

Samuel Windsor offer very good value for top end shoes:

Keep an eye out for their sales, or just abort an on-line purchase and a few days later they will often send you a £10 voucher to complete the sale.

As for soles, don't go for rubber in a work environment - leather soles are far smarter. A good quality shoe will last for years if well maintained.
  • You could try TK Maxx, although I don't think they sell as many genuine bargains as they did in the past.

Another option is Amazon. Especialy if you have Prime and purchase something with free returns, you can order a brand with know quality and just box it up and send it back (from multiple drop-offf points) if you don't like it..

For quality and comfy work shoes, I can't beat M&S footglove. I always look when they have a sale on, to see if they have any.

Comfiest shoes ever, can wear them all day and still comfortable. Look very smart, good variety of styles and colours.

Good price even at full price really, but I as I say I only ever buy at sale prices.

    M&S, Clarks and TK Maxx

Not a mission are shoe zone quality shoes

TK is a place you need to visit weekly to get bargains. I always buy the grandkids school shoes there, usually Kickers for as little as £9
