That must’ve been very frightening for you. I don’t blame you for wanting to avoid situations where you might come across him again. I hope it won’t upset you too much or set you back.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Thanks for your support @Honeysucklelou2, @Sun_Addict and @in_need_of_direction.
Yesterday I had church-at-home again, while DH went in. The talk was good. Then we whisked round tidying up before DS2 and his g/f arrived for dinner bringing tomatoes she'd grown. We had a good meal (roast chicken and trimmings so there will be other chicken meals this week) then a very funny game of Taboo before the weather eased enough to let us get out for a walk. I just about managed to persuade DS2 and friend not to try the elderberries we found on the way: I don't think the one each they had will finish them off but elderberries are one of those things that have to be cooked before eating, to destroy toxins.
So it was a good day in good company. I was tired by mid-evening but at least the house is clean and my desk space (dining room table) s tidy (though I did get the feeling of my nest being cleared when DH tidied it!)
Today DH has his voluntary work this afternoon and I've arranged to meet a couple of colleagues for coffee, so we won't be going to the Bank Holiday car boot sale. Working shifts deprived me of that simple joy a lot of times, but this year one of the benefits of being off has been having weekends to do things like that. Today would have meant going back to the one we went to on Saturday, but I've been telling myself I've been there a lot and never had a problem till last time, so I should go again.
DH has also got the day off to a good start by unblocking a gutter. Those tiny birch seeds had clogged the downpipe so we had a waterfall yesterday!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I ended up spending all afternoon with my colleagues - hopefully we will do it again sometime. We had to stop eventually as they were sweeping up in the café!
I got a bit of shopping on the way home, but dinner was the mackerel we bought the other day with lemon couscous, peas and tomatoes. Dh and I had an evening walk, but it was quite gloomy by eight. Definitely shorter evenings now.
Quite a lot of washing is now in the ironing pile, but I won't start it tonight. For some reason ironing wakes me up! Instead we watched the Edinburgh Tattoo, which was as amazing as ever.
MS stuff:
resisted cake but my colleague bought me a gift-boxed scone which I enjoyed when I got home.
Not-MS stuff:
Didn't swipe my app for loyalty points.
Expenditure:
Entertainment £3.25
Housekeeping £4.67

I couldn't slow my mind enough to sleep properly last night: I think I dozed for a couple of hours then got up at 3 for a couple more hours. I used a chunk of that time to sign up for a jobs site and look for jobs online.
When I finally got to sleep, I didn't wake till 10.30 so I had to text DH to let him know I wouldn't be ready to meet him with DGD. They came to the house, DGD had a snack then they went back to hers while I wrote some emails letting the interviewer from last week know I wouldn't be taking up the job she suggested, and to the Union, to update on a few things.
We spent the afternoon with DGD, then this evening DH had a meeting and I went to my friend's house for pizza, knitting and a catch-up.
Minor spending but I need sleep so I'll sort that out tomorrow.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

What on earth did I spend yesterday? £5.79 housekeeping I think.
I started my next therapy today: I hadn't been looking forward to it as it felt as if I was going to be told what to do, but she was nice and I think she should be good to work to work with. I'm going to learn how to apply CBT, so I have homework and she'll ring me again in a fortnight.
In the afternoon I went to the market but didn't see anything I wanted. I did have an inspiration on seeing a card index box in a charity shop: it's perfect for holding my seed packets without paying over the odds for something with the word 'seeds' on it. On the way back I remembered to take in a bunch of receipts to have loyalty points added so we are a little better off.I also remembered to check my L!dl app and found a few coupons about to expire, so I bought jam, chocolate and brown sugar, none of which were exactly needed.
The pressure of the attendance meeting tomorrow was starting to get to me so I was a bit weepy when I got home. I'm also realising it will be hard to remember all the details of anxiety or other emotions to record as my homework for therapy. I'll do what I can and hope to improve.
Dinner tonight was chicken and chorizo pasta from stores, then both of us had things to go to: mine was the Bible study group from church who are a lovely bunch and very supportive. I knew I'd be glad I'd gone instead of moping at home, and I was right.
MS:
loyalty points recovered.
Bargain perfect seed container.
Not MS:
all that sugary stuff.
Expenditure:
Household £1.50
Housekeeping £8.06
Things to be thankful for:
support
a helpful CBT therapist
still being able to go for a walk after dinner

Briefly popping in to say, CBT amd other therapies can be effective in asd people but can take longer. Don't stress if you feel like it's not working, particularly if you have to identify feelings1

Would it help to note those emotions & anxiety-triggers as they happen or as you remember them, maybe in a notebook? Hope you can find some calm & peace today in advance of the meeting x2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Good to 'see' you here, @WelshmansDaughter, take care of yourself and take your time.
I'm feeling better in myself today, so far just a faint whiff of anxiety so I'm keeping busy. The support person emailed this morning so I'll have a phone conversation with her next week to see how this afternoon's meeting went.
No other jobs for today, but I'll find some. Housework won't do itself, blackberries won't pick themselves...I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

There are apps where you can record your feelings. They send you a reminder1
