Oh, dear... What a flying geek I am! :rotfl: I just love it: from the very first flight when I didn't know how I'd cope as I'm rubbish with heights, through hurtling into Stansted with a boy-racer-style pilot to last year's wonderful long hauls which my grandchildren will probably be told were almost entirely done on flying carpets with a djinn in attendance... I've loved them all (apart from last week's).
I think flying is very much in the blood. My maternal grandfather was an early member of the RAF when it was still part of the navy, then was in Lancasters in WW2. My brother in law maintains Cessnas in Africa for a living. I grew up watching the stunt plane from Southport beach practising over the field next to our garden. I suppose I was bound to find it fun.
So: today.
I'm typing on my Kindle as the laptop isn't working. Trying to replicate recent repairs to the charger cable came to nothing and I was all set to cough up £45 to buy a replacement locally but DS2 has found one on t'internet for £18 so I've just transferred him the money (he has @mazon Pr!me) and hopefully normal service will soon be resumed. That's if we've got a problem with the cable. I'm hoping it's nothing more.
I've also contributed to a wedding gift for someone and bought bread and an orange.
Spending:
Household £18.00

Decluttering:
Five assorted items from the gardening corner in the hall. Sadly these were mostly packs of bulbs that had been left too long though I saved a few. Five pieces of paper and a catalogue.
Today I'm thankful that L popped in and let us know J is snowed under with work and that's why we haven't heard from her.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I also love flying, the whole process is kind of amusing to me. Maybe that’s just because I hardly ever have to do it, so it’s a bit of a novelty.0

I’d sooner go to the dentist and I’m no fan of that!

Velvet, you are getting close to that first 5,000! I came late to flying, maybe you are all getting the child's version from me.
INOD, I think I'd take the flight and leave the dentist.
We have found and released 2 indoor butterflies this morning. Better than spiders ( but a few of those are back too).I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Groceries bought in the last two days: I'm about £5.50 over the £30 target for the week but that's still an improvement over £40. I'm now at work and need to get some sleep so this will be a short post.
We had a quiet morning till DH got called to an emergency at work and I had to meet the visiting relatives on my own. DH was out a few hours so he entirely missed them (and a nice lunch, for which they paid). They are such a nice couple.
I've been at work most of the time since... just ordered another book using the rest of my voucher (exactly).
I will try to get spending details tomorrow.
I'm thankful for our visitors, and for a beautiful day (it could have been the middle of summer).I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
