Will any further checks be done?

I received my mortgage offer today. Between now and completion, will NatWest do any more credit checks or anything nearer the time?

  • The reason I ask is because I am moving in with my parents next week once my own property completes, and while my new house is being built. Therefore, I need to change my address on the electoral role to match my parents address. What's the best way to go about this?

I believe, although unlikely, the lender could reassess the offer and withdraw it.

Yes, just checked. Have a look at this article, it could be helpful https://www.oceanfinance.co.uk/blog/can-a-mortgage-offer-be-withdrawn-0-4662-0.htm
  • That article only discusses about taking on extra credit, not about changing your address on the electoral roll. Does anyone else know what I should do?

How long will you be at your parents for before completion? Rather than change your address on the electoral roll, can you setup mail redirection and leave your address as it is until you complete?

I guess the best thing to do would be to speak to your broker/lender. They are entitled to perform credit checks between offer and completion so I would assume they will.

I'll be living with my parents for about 4/5 months before completion. The house is expected to be finished by July/August
