Carers allowance and a SIPP

I'm in receipt of carers allowance and a couple of times a year work at the elections local or national. Am I classed as a BR tax payer or am I limited to putting £2880 into a SIPP? TIA

You can put in to your SIPP an amount equal to your earnings from work related activities or £3,600 gross (£2880 net) whichever is highest. For the income calculation you cannot include benefits, bank interest, maintenance payments or a whole raft of other non work related incomeIt may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type0

Cheers for that. Really was not sure as Carers allowance is a taxable benefit"Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0
