Hi We have just put an offer in for a house we previously viewed and viewed again as previously got a declined offer, the estate agents are sorting a solicitor out for us as the other one we were looking for they said was very pricy.
We went into a mortgage advisers and they said they can book us in Saturday to take all our details, this is £400, or should we just use NatWest's which they said is free and some for for about £60?
also if we did got Saturday to this one or bank's how long does it take to find the mortgage for us as scared that someone else might step in to take the house etc etch.
I know once you get the mortgage that whole stage can take about 6 weeks ish.

Is Natwest the best deal or would the mortgage broker offer better. I am not a mortgage broker but employ a number and I cant remember seeing Natwest used by them any time recently.
Also, mortgage brokers provide hand holding and advice. It is not just about the deal. You have someone local you can ask questions to and who will do the chasing for you. Do you want that?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
thanks yes I am guessing the mortgage adviser does a whole search for you to compare them all, where Natwest is just NatWest only.0

Have you even got a deal in principle yet?0

we visited NatWest a while back and they said we could get a mortgage upto £190,000. this is nothing near what we want, this was given on a printout to give to estate agents, we viwed house and put a offer in which has been accepted so just case of getting the mortgage, estate agents are sorting solicitor now, we have appointment for 3 hours on Wednesday with NatWest.0
