Is it normal for online surveys to ask for lots of personal details eg mobile number, address, date of birth ... especially date of birth of children?

It's quite common to ask for DOB and children's DOB (useful for demographic purposes), but I would be very reluctant to enter my mobile number/address into a survey. I have entered my address for an I-Say survey which sent me a (physical) financial diary to complete over 4 weeks, but other than that I haven't given any actual contact information.£2017 in 2017 challenge - £2020.06/£2017 (as of 27th September)0

They will often request postcode.
There is usually a place to click to refuse it but it may be the thing that screens you out.
I wouldnt put a whole address in unless there is some physical reason eg..they are signing you up to the survey site and will pay by cheque or as stated above..it is for product trials.
As far as ages are concerned, I generally will give an indication rather than exact dates..eg tick boxes with age ranges.0 -
Dates of birth, ages and postcode yes - but address usually only if they are going to send you a product to trial.0
