Great job at speaking to your bank to get your monthly payments reduced! Nice to have more flexibility with your income. I struggle to plan lunches every day, but I might try sticking to £5 on those days when I forget!

I've realised someone was already using the same title for their diary so I've changed mine.
It does seem impossible but my cashflow don't show pay rises or bonuses that will probably happen during my career.

Planning lunch is a struggle isn't it? I know someone who will take their lunch in everyday and it's the same everyday - red Leicester cheese sandwich, white grapes and crisps. Day in day out. He's saving a hell of a lot of money by doing that!

I have Huel and I keep telling myself - 'lunch will be Huel and nothing else' but I can't seem to bring myself to do it. I need to reset my way of thinking.

Huel is good for you! Huel is a balanced meal in a shaker bottle! Huel is cheap! Huel is easy! Now repeat...

How do I work out my daily interest?
What's your interest rate and I'll see if I can remember how to work it out :o.

Boring lunches are the price you pay to save cash - it's worth it. I spend roughly £5 per week on lunches - I buy a loaf, block of cheese (does a couple of weeks), jar of mayo (does several weeks), corned beef (I like it) and some cherry tomatoes and then I make sandwiches in work. I'm lucky as we have a small kitchen area I can do this and I realise many won't have access to this however I'd have no problem preparing a sandwich on my desk if I had to.

£5 per week vs £5 per day is a massive difference and means that roughly I can expect to spend £280-300 per YEAR on lunches in work. To compare £5 per day on lunch is roughly £1400 per year.
I am insane and have 4 mortgages - total mortgage debt £200k. Target to zero = 10 years! (2030)

The price you pay indeed! I need to find something that I won't be bored of. I think I can start with cheese and tomato sandwiches.

My manager thought one day she needed to lose weight and decided she'll have a large coffee from Costa and fruit for lunch and sensible dinner during the week. She's been doing that for nearly a year now and all her clothes look baggy on her. She does do the odd treat or team lunches but I admire her for sticking to it. I need to learn.

They moved our department to a floor where they don't have a microwave but we do have a very small kitchen area. The fridge is always packed but I can't complain. All of this is helping me set my mind and giving me motivation so thank you to those who have given me ideas :)

There are more accurate ways to calculate as I'm pretty sure interest is compounded (i.e.you pay interest on the interest). But this is accurate enough:
    2.29% divided by 100 = 0.0229
    0.029 divided by 365 days x 70,106.06 = £4.40 a day
    1.74% divided by 100 = 0.0174
    0.0174 divided by 365 days x 164,977.73 = £7.86 a day
    TOTAL £12.26 a day

Obviously every month it will drop a little and you will pay more off the principle each month. But you're basically paying over £12 a day 'rent'. £61 per work week. Which buys a lot of home made cheese and tommy sandwiches :D.
