going from Birmingham to Oxford on 17th March ,returning 20th March . I dont have a set time of travel but it will be off peak.
Can I buy an off peak ticket that does not specify a time off travel.
i looked on the trainline and it seems I need to give a time of travel .

They only ask you to specify the time of travel to ensure that the ticket you buy is valid on your intended train, but can be used on any off peak train.
As an aside, you might like to book through a train operating company and avoid the fees that the trainline charge.0 -
By choosing specific trains you can also book seats. You may be fairly certain of the outbound train you are going to take and less certain about the return. There are no repercussions if you travel by different trains and don't take up seat reservations.0
