Hello there... at my work place we have only now received the 1% pay rise that was given to us in April...
However some of us did not receive it, we were told that as we receive an increment every year then we are not entitled to the pay rise.... does anyone know if this is true?.. thankyou x

You go up the band points every year to the maximum, and every year the bands change just slightly.

In my trust increments are based on your appraisal. It might be that hr was slow to give you the pay. Do you have your increment date on your payslipMortgage free wannabe

In my last trust it was the 1% OR the increment. Never both. If you were at the top of your pay grade you'd get the 1% but if you weren't, you'd go up a step on the payscale insteadI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Just look at the pay scale and see if you're getting the amount stated. For 2016/17 it's here.

As others have said you need to look at the pay scales.0
