Hi All thanks for the replys, I have a good relationship with my manager but I know he is stressed because of current work loads so will feel a bit bad about leaving, but like people have said its a common occurrence and got to do what is best for me and my family!
Our holiday Runs from January to December I get 29 days a year and have already taken 5 so it sounds different to most places?

In that case you get roughly 2.4 days per month, by the time you leave you will be entitled to 5.67 8.34 days this year. You have already taken 5 so you will be paid the 0.67 3.34 days.
If you take any more days you will owe them money!.

You don't get the full years allowance if you leave after only two months.

Jan-Dec is alos very common just saying close to full allowance usually means end of holiday is coming up and the next comon one is April.

Does that 29 include BH or are they extra?
  • Hi,

you might find that when you do give your notice that your boss will offer you a 'revised package' to stay.

So then you're in a quandary.

Yeah I had wondered if they would, To be honest I doubt they could make me an offer that would make me stay, the new job pays almost what my manager makes and also comes with a lot more opportunities. so I am kind of hoping they dont do that lol

The 29 days doesnt include Bank holidays I get them on top. I suppose I will just wait and see what is said once I give my notice!

    37 days prorata.

April 15 would be 15 weeks

due 10.7 days 2BH + 5 taken leaves 3.7 to take or get paid.

If it runs Jan to December you absolutely don't have 24 days left. You only get the full 29 if you work the full year. You'll have worked 4 months.

Right okay Im getting confused on how they are worked out had no idea I accrued them, I thought it was just a standard 29 days a year and it refreshed every January because I could take 10 days off in Jan if I wanted. Getting myself slightly confused I think!

You can take all 29 in January, but if you leave they'll deduct the amount over taken
