Indemnity Insurance

Hi all,

I'm a first time poster, who is remortgaging my flat (share of freehold). When I took out the original mortgage, my solicitor said that the lease was technically deficient and so I had to buy some indemnity insurance before the building society would accept the mortgage. Since I am now remortgaging my flat with a different bank (not building society), do I need to give the solicitors handling the transfer a copy of this? They haven't asked for such a document, but that's probably because they don't know it exists.

A lot of what I've seen online about indemnity insurance says that you shouldn't go round telling people you have it, which is why I thought I would ask here rather than just sending it to them :)

Any thoughts / comments would be appreciated - thanks in advance!
