DMP Question

Hi,
I am looking for some advice if possible, please?
Basically, I am a carer, and care full-time for my partner when not in work. A lot has happened in my personal life, and despite telling my work of these issues, they have not been supportive despite my 11 years of working for them. They have put me on a performance improvement plan. My manager has basically lied to HR, and because she is a manager HR believe her, despite me trying to reason with her and showing her proof I have not made errors she said.
Things gave got to the point, where I need to find another job, however they pay fairly well, so I would need to take a cut to my salary of about £2,000 per annum, for a similar position. I currently earn £22k and my partner is disabled and on benefits. We are just about managing.
To take a pay cut would mean having to go on a Debt Management Plan, however would the creditors / debt management companies take a dim view of cutting my salary like this?
The stress at work is making me ill, on top of the pressure from my partners and mothers health deteriorating. For my health, I need to get out.
I spent the last 2 years training in accountancy and have a professional qualification, so if I go on a DMP I have to resign the professional qualification. I have thought long and hard about it so it's no rash decision.

Sorry to hear of your situation cool dog .
No job is worth putting up with the crap that you are going through.
Been there . The good thing, is you have a trade in accounts.
I'm not sure if it's worth cutting this post in half . Half here, where you'll,get excellent financial advice and half airing your grievances to the employment forum.
The first thing folk on here would suggest is that you fill out s o a form , declaring your debts etc . It's on here somewhere .
You will then hopefully be put on the right path ahead.
The work issue is difficult . If you are strong enough, then see what the employment forum suggests. You'll get there eventually .
Good luck0 -

Hi
Creditors don’t have the right to dictate how people earn money. If you need to take a drop in income for personal reasons then so be it. A DMP would be based on your circumstances at that time.
I agree that posting your SOA figures here is a good idea.
In terms of your employment issues, it might also be worth speaking to Acas.
