Remortgage with the same lender (Leeds Building Society)

I've got a mortgage with Leeds Building Society that has the fixed rate due to end in just over 3 months. Due to the way we have borrowed having ported the mortgage last year and borrowed additionally for the difference between the new property and our old one we must remortgage with Leeds unless we pay an early repayment charge on the additional borrowing from last year (which we don't want to do).

I've read the following on their website under the remortgaging for existing customers but still a little unclear.

My question is will they just remortgage for a new fixed deal without checking our employment as I may be moving jobs in the next few months and know that lenders would usually look at how long you have been with an employer.

My second question is will they look at how much money we currently have borrowed (on a 0% credit card)

My wife and I have a number of home improvements we would like to do in the near future such as replace the bathroom, landscape the garden and potentially convert the front garden into a driveway which we were planning on doing via a 0% credit card or loan but will hold off if it is likely to cause a problem with remortgaging.

Preferably I'd like to remortgage an borrow additional money to do the home improvements but as I'm likely to change jobs in the not too distant future I think this would be a non-starter with the lender.
