  • Ebay never surprises me, the two auctions that ended tonight made £21.58 after postage, not bad for a pile of too small children's clothes. I shall pack them and send them off in the next day or two.
I've also sorted a few more bits and pieces to list on ebay, tonight, if the mood takes me, or in the next few days if not.

I have also received a refund for £39 that I wasn't expecting, so that's gone straight into the holiday pot. Still no news on the expected refund that I have been waiting for that was due 'today'. I'm not surprised. I shall be phoning them again tomorrow.

YNAB has been updated and the holiday pot is now only £12 away from my £200 target. :)
    I'm chuffed!

Haven't got round to the cake baking, that's been postponed until the weekend.

  • Fab stuff Ave xx
  • Thanks both.

I chased the mssing refund again yesterday, assured it would be done today...
NEVER again will I be ordering from that company.

The bank account is ticking over nicely, not a huge amount in there, but more than enough in each YNAB category to cover me for the rest of the month if I don't go nuts.

I did list a couple more items on ebay the other night, I have bids on two, but nothing huge. Hopefully ebay will surprise me again and they'll go for a tidy amount.

I baked the cake last night. Had to pop out to the shop and buy more eggs as I was one egg short, but used change in my purse for that. No other spends yesterday. Have brought some cake into work to share and OH and I will tuck into some tonight too. :)

My big box of soap powder that I ordered was delivered yesterday too, it's HUGE!!! It nearly didn't fit in my cupboard... That should keep me going for a few months!

Not much else to report. I still need to go through DS's clothes and mine, but the mood really hasn't taken me to do that yet. I shall try and do it over the weekend so that I can take the sorted stuff to the charity shop on Monday.

    Have a good day all

  • I was surprised to see the missing refund has just been processed, so have just withdrawn that from Paypal and now allocated to the holiday pot in YNAB. That means I've hit my £200 target in there and have £30 towards meals and drinks whilst we're away. I will try to top this up to £100 spending money by the time we go, so another £70 to make. :)

  • I have been debating whether to buy something for a few days now. It would prove really helpful to me, but at £69, was very expensive at the moment. I was then emailed a voucher code, for £30 off, so was going to bite the bullet and buy it this morning out of my spending allowance, however, the voucher code wouldn't work, so I emailed the company for some help.
In the meantime, I found the same product for £19 on groupon, so it's purchased and already in use! Result!

Sounds like all going well, great savings on your purchases - sometimes it pays to shop around or wait for a bit.

Good news on the holiday pot, well done.
