I see a section on the SOA which asks if im owed any monies, as im still trading (just) im owed about £2000, if i go BR does the OR snatch any dues, if so i may as well jack in and sign on, otherwise im working for nothing in effect.

If you are still trading, then the OR will probably just take the amount owed to you into consideration as 'income' for the determination of any IPA/IPO.

In my case I had ceased trading, but was still owed about £6,000 - I had to give all details to the OR and assumed that they would chase up these monies, and put them into my 'bankruptcy estate'.
My thoughts were confirmed when, about two months after my bankruptcy, one of my customers, who owed me about £2k, phoned me and asked 'why had I employed a firm of solicitors to chase up this money?'
I felt a bit of poetic justice, as this 'customer' had owed me the money for a year, and, had he paid me, I may have been able to employ an accountant to sort out my tax problems.
I must admit to a certain amount of pleasure in informing him that I was, now, bankrupt and that the 'firm of solicitors' was in fact my 'trustee in bankruptcy'. I also told him that his decision not to pay me was certainly a contributory factor to my bankruptcy and that whilst I no longer had any powers to influence what my trustee decided to do regarding this 'debt', I hoped that they made him suffer in the same way that he had made me suffer.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
