Happy Birthday Maman _party_ hope you have a fab day xx

I'm still not back on track after the birthday binge :o

 I have a feeling this could happen to me!:D

We're off to the cinema this afternoon and then something to eat. On Wednesday we're going away for a week so I'll just pick it up when I get back.

:T on your 4.5 stone lizzie. That's quite an achievement.

    to unhelpful consultants jay.

You've averaged 1.5lbs a week small which is exactly what I did when getting to target. Keep plodding is our favourite mantra on here (along with eat plenty of Speed;)). Do post your menus if you have the time and we'll see if there's anything you can tweak.

I've had a SW breakfast (bacon, eggs and HEB toast). I have plenty of LO veg for lunch if I fancy it but after that I'll see what I fancy.

    Have a good day all.:)

Thanks! Not something I could have possibly imagined when I first walked through the doors of my SW group. I've surprised myself with my determination to keep going, as in the past I'd usually manage to lose about a stone doing some diet or another and then get complacent and gain more than I'd lost :o seems I've found the thing that works for me and fits into my lifestyle :)

    Happy birthday Maman.

Well done to all the losers.

Wizkid, and any others with gains, everyone has a gain sometimes. Sometimes it's us going off plan too much, and sometimes it's our bodies, but what ever the reason it happens, but we will lose it again.

I think I will be having a gain this week. Just really struggling to stick to plan. I ate miles too much, and of totally the wrong stuff yesterday.

    Today's plan:
Breakfast - not hungry from eating too much yesterday
    Lunch - ham salad
Dinner - Out for a meal, and I know there is nothing really healthy on the menu.

    HA - milk
    HB - not sure

    Happy Birthday, maman! :bdaycake:

Well done, LizzieR, on your 4½ stone!! :j

Well, yesterday was upskittled slightly by a last minute invitation to friends for dinner. Stuck to my omelette & mushrooms for breakfast, and had leek & potato soup for lunch, but dinner was gammon with roast potatoes, onion rings, peas and corn on the cob, and the sauce that you get in IKEA with their meatballs...(website says "Ikea Graddsas Cream Sauce Mix, made up as directed (36g made up) - 17 syns", but no idea how much 36g is when its made up...the whole packet, half a packet?! :o). This was then followed by individual trifles (so no chance for sneaky portion reduction there either...) I think we can just say that I can more than account for yesterday's syns!! :( Draw a line, Piglet, draw a line... (I'm beginning to think that should be my tag line!! :rotfl:)

Anyway, today is looking OK, as follows:

B: Crunchy bran (HExB) and milk (HExA)
L: New Covent Garden Smoked Haddock Chowder (7½ syns, but I only buy it occasionally when I go near Waitrose which is 30 miles away, and I love it, so to me, it is worth the syns :D)
D: Undecided... Either pork casserole with veggies, or a salad with smoked salmon and a poached egg. Depends how hungry I'm feeling later (am going out to Book Club, so will eat when I get back). Either way, it is all totally free, so no more syns there. :T And book club means driving, so syn-free and alcohol-free drinking there - it is held in a pub! ;)

Snacks: Free fruit - am going to a friend's house shortly to do some holiday planning, but she is totally SW friendly, so we have agreed that we will snack on free fruit (mostly speedy ones) while we plan. That's why I'm not sure how hungry I'll be at dinner... :p

Happy birthday Maman. Hope you have a lovely day and enjoy your meal out.

Smallpackages - your consultant doesn't sound very nice at all! As others have said you've lost 6lb over the month, an average of 1.5lb a week, which is great for keeping the weight off. You've just had a blip - that gain this week will come off just as quickly as it went on. It may even have been water retention.

Definitely post up your menus and we'll look to see if we can see if we can see anything which might be affecting your weight loss.

Wiz - I'd agree with Maman it might be worth changing your WI day to Friday and then if things go pear shaped at the weekend you can rein it back in during the week (the same way I usually have to!).

    Today's plan:

B - toasted bacon & mushroom sandwich; 3 syns for butter & brown sauce
L - ham salad - lettuce, tomato, spring onions, beetroot, cucumber, pepper, picked onions, syn free onion chutney
D - HM sausage & bean cassoulet - contains loads of Speed veg.. 0.5 syn for sausage

    Happy Birthday Maman 🎉🍷

Having a bad day myself, had a bowl of porridge for breakfast and felt lousy ever since. Not sure if it's the oats (although same oats as every day) or am intolerant to milk as had all milk instead of the usual splash. My tum really hurts though :(
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

You've lost 6lbs in a month, so that's not a bad result overall. When you take into account the fact that you've got health issues too, you need to give yourself a pat on the back.

Have SW started employing people with medical training as consultants now? I don't think so - your consultant can't possibly know whether your health issues have affected your weight loss. She doesn't sound very encouraging!

It's important not to compare your own results with other people's - there may be others in your group who have had awards but they might have been eating VERY unhealthily prior to joining SW. We're all different, younger people tend to lose quicker, as do men, but you can do it do, you just need to be patient.

    LL :)
. Excellent advice couldn't have said it any better myself. I don't stay to class anymore because the consultants no it all attitude and sheer ignorance irritates the life out of me
