What's the process for remortgaging a 100k property (that has no mortgage). I need to raise about 20-30k?
Would there be arrangement fees involved and other costs ?
What kind of rates are available for things like this ?

go to a broker or banks and say you want to take a mortgage out on your property for 30k. Look at their rates and fees. (these are things you can do yourself in ten minutes instead of posting here) check affordability, make a mortgage app.0

Thanks for that. Are mortgages like this generally more expensive than a standard mortgage when buying a house ? Or is this just the case of releasing equity and buyng it back ?0

Same price, same process - or used to be. You still need to pass affordability, your house is at risk if you do not keep up on your repayments.0
