Hi, just make sure you protect your 0% deals if you have any - if you are late they can cancel the deal.

Fingers crossed for OH, but in the meantime keep it up! You will get there! :)

Hey, thanks for pointing that out :)

There aren't any 0% deals, as most of the debts are with debt collectors, or have just been frozen by the company but haven't yet gone to an outside collection agency. The two Scan ones are BNPL plans.

I get some money tomorrow and am just trying to work out if I can spare some to pay Littlewoods. Really bad timing, but ds2 has outgrown his shoes... which means new school shoes, trainers, footy boots, cadets shoes and cadets boots :( He said the ones hurting the most are his trainers and cadets boots, so I will have to get those two replaced ASAP. Fingers crossed he can get away with the rest for another month or so!
  • Made a payment to Littlewoods today, so have updated post #1 :) It is nice to see the amount going down. I should have done this a long time ago as we have had more than enough money over the years :( Head was well and truly buried.

Oh well... I suppose it is better that I have had my LBM now, rather than another few years down the line. Who knows how much additional debt we would have accumulated.

I feel really teary today - really low.

I am trying to be positive and upbeat but just can't manage it. Hopefully I can keep the tears in.

We woke up today to no internet. Husband hadn't told me it was due/overdue! He only has TWO bills in his name: the internet and the gas. He can't even keep track of them and at least mention that they need paying and pay the flipping things!! He blamed it on me, saying that how can he pay it if he doesn't know if we have any money to pay it... Ermmm well freakin well mentioning it is due would be a start.

We also got an overdue letter from the gas, which again is HIS bill to keep an eye on. Both of those bills go to his email, he has opted for paperless on both of them but he clearly can't be trusted to do something as simple as read an email.

We then took the car to the garage to get the tyres on the car sorted as one had blown out and the other had a tear in the side wall. In all honesty both were quite desperately in need of changing but I was praying for them to be ok for 6 weeks. Then after we had them done we went for a Macdonalds breakfast to cheer us up.. all it did was make me feel anxious that we were wasting money.

The rent is also due today, but we haven't got it, well not all of it. I should have the rest next week, but feel crappy about paying it late. The landlord won't care. We've been here nearly 11 years and never not paid, even if it has been a little late sometimes.

I also need to phone student finance as they are claiming they haven't got my childcare forms, yet i sent them 2 weeks ago... They will claim I owe them lots of money back if they don't get it

I also need to pay £45 to join an organisation for my job :( I could do without it really, but I can't actually start the job without it.

He has now finished all of his training for his new job, but he has one more hurdle....that is to get the job. It just feels like everything is up in the air at the moment. I am tired and stressed and just want everything to be 'not so hard all the time' - Oooops here come the tears....

    Today is a new day.

I'm looking into the possibility of a credit union child benefit loan. You can borrow £500 then have your child benefit paid directly into the account. They take x amount back for the loan and the rest gets saved in the account. This would then cover the holiday balance that needs paying by August.

    I need to start again.

I've added more to the pile of things that need paying off. I am basically getting ahead of myself. I am spending money that we don't yet have. This is how the problem started in the first place... I know we will get clear, but this means we will have a bit less to pay down the debts with.

I still feel quietly confident that I will get all this debt cleared. Despite kind of sharing with th husband that we have debts to pay off and going over our expected income/outgoings once we both start work, I haven't mentioned another thing about it. He hasn't mentioned anything to me.

I will probably just tackle this alone, it's easier.

I've said we will have separate finances once we are both in work. This will work out better I can get him to pay off a few of the debts that he knows about... the ones he has run up recently and I will pay off the rest - without his knowledge.

Maybe my head isn't fully out of the and yet, but it is getting there.
