Lamb joint - is it ok to eat?

Hi
I did not know that this section of the forum existed!!
I have a lamb joint which is uncooked. It has been in the coldest part of the fridge since 25th Jan. The expiry date on the joint is 25th Jan.
Is it ok to cook and eat?
I have tried smelling it but to be honest. I cannot tell if the smell is bad or not. Certainly no fishy smell or rotten eggs.
Thanks
J

Hi
I have realised that I have posted in the wrong place. I have moved my question to the existing thread which discusses food safety
