Help to buy Mortgage after defaults?

Hi guys,

Due to a set of unfortunate circumstances (redundancy whilst pregnant, serious ill health and an abusive ex) 5 & a half years ago I received a number of defaults ( 11 to be exact!)
I had to sell my house (I did not default or miss payments on my mortgage at all in 14 years)
I would love another house of my own and have been furiously saving a deposit for the last few years, I finally have a good job again and work full time.
Does anybody know if it's possible to get a help to buy mortgage with previous defaults? They are due to come off my credit file this year but I just don't feel like it will ever be possible even when they are off my file.

Thanks.

Presumably you mean HTB Equity Loan on a newbuild?

    Yes, you will have options.

    That's a lot of defaults!!

I don't think it will be an issue once they are all off your file if you get a decent broker.

If they'll all be gone in a few months you'd be mad not to wait unless its life or death!

I was suggesting you have options now.

You'll have the whole market once your credit file is clean.
