  • You simply haven't given enough detail for anyone to be able to answer your question.

Has the employer given any reason for witholding wages?

The reason they said is because they overpaid me on weeks previous, which I have looked into over & over again and they did not overpay me, I have checked many times & its always the same; they have stopped my wages for a few weeks relatively close to each other and or adamant that the money has been overpaid to the payroll companywhich is a common ways of completing transactions nowadays to pay self employed people, however payroll company or adamant that they have not recieced the monies so they cant forward it to me .
Personally in my opinion its the agency that is not paying up as they they have lied to me in the past saying, saying they will look into it this morning with colleagues and the payroll company & checking their records; I have phoned about 20 times over the last 2 weeks & got mostly the same answers that they need to look into it, they just need more time; I believe they are trying to create distance so that I will just go away about it which I don't intend to; which is why I need a legal way to as thay or now hust hiding behind voicemails and simply dropping the phone.
There must be a way of holding them to account, anyone know of a was to address this please?

If they do not pay you, Google "MoneyClaimOnLine", it will show you how to claim for money that you believe is owed to you.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

I would write to the agency by email explaining that I was not overpaid showing calculations to support my statement and perhaps a bank statement (showing the amount what was paid). They may then challenge you explaining how they arrived at their original conclusion.
