Non. Help to buy 95% mortgages

Hi about to sell first rung on ladder and want to buy a bigger property now unfortunately I live on one of the areas where prices have still not reached of that I paid for it and due to a bit of reckless 2nd mortgage taking out have very little equity.

So whilst I have been waiting for credit file to improve I haven't been watching mortgage market much. I have just stated looking again an note that Halifax is showing a 95% mortgage . Is this a general old fashioned 95% mortgage and have the made a comeback to the market or is it linked to help to buy?

It makes zero practical difference to you as the borrower anyway but it is not a H2B Guarantee product. They ended last year.

A few lenders have normal 95% mortgages.

  • So the answer to my question is 95% mortgages have now returned to the market then.
