We have just started the process of remortgaging with a new lender (via a broker) in order to fund an extension. I know the answer is "how long is a bit of string" but I would be interested to find out how long it took others to remortgage
Thanks

I guess the average is between 6-8 weeks,
Quicker if you are requiring the funds by a deadline, or longer if there are complexities along the way.0 -
We are hoping that it comes through in early April, am I being unrealistic in thinking that's in the realms of possibility?0

We expect four to six weeks on our remortgage applications.I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I remortgaged from Virgin Money to Coventry Building Society via a broker. Had initial contact with the broker just before Christmas and went through the options/requirements. I then forwarded all the financial info requested on 6 Jan 2017 and the re-mortgage went through on my requested completion date of 1 Feb 2017. Low'ish LTV probably helped but it all went smoothly and Enact who handled the legal side were very good as was the broker. It can be a quick/painless process when it works.0
