Can you do apprenticeship after degree?

I have been offered an apprenticeship but in the job advert it stated that if you have a level 4 qualification or degree you can't apply. I still applied and I have an interview. I was wondering can I still do the apprenticeship? I did write that I have a degree in my application form.

I think the only issue is that the employer will receive less funding from the gov and/or have to pay you more so you are less attractive to them than somebody younger, rather than an absolute ban0

This website seems to think so yes BUT The employer won't get as much/will have to pay more for you - so enjoy the interview & let them see just what extra good they will get with an apprentice who knows how to learn, write coherent sentences, spell, study & pass exams & is still human enough to be willing to do an apprenticeship in a subject they are interested in.
Even if they decide they want a cheaper employee, they may decide that they like you too & you may be the answer to an ongoing opportunity they haven't had the right person for yet!
Best of luck.0 -

Well it is not a crime, you will not be arrested
BUT the employer will not get funding and an apprenticeship (fully funded) is likely to run into thousands, so they would be very unlikely to explore that option (particularly if they stated no L4 or above in advert, they must have some awareness of funding rules, which are extremely complex) 0 -
I've done an apprenticeship and the college had to get special permission for me to study as I have been to university. It's an absolute no- they said the only reason I was eligible was that I didn't complete my qualification at uni due to ill health.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
